Becca and I watched The Social Network last night, over wine and (mostly) homemade pizza. I don’t watch movies nearly as much as I’d like to anymore, and with some tumult going on in each of our lives, it was a nice evening.
The movie was enjoyable. I actually wouldn’t mind watching it again, to capture some of the nuance. The best part was probably sharing it with someone who had a lot of the same experiences in the same times and places I did – experiences that were referenced or influenced by parts of the movie. We chuckled over Mark Zuckerberg using Livejournal (which I sort of doubt he did in real life) , and over Harvard kids text messaging in 2003 (could that be true?).
It will be very interesting to look back at this time in our lives, sometime in the future.
